Hey ho,

yeah! At the next day we drove from Leavenworth back to home sweet home Canada. The Highway followed the world famous Colorada River.
I was surprised from the landscape because the vegetation zone had changed. Now you could not see the typical canada landscape at the street anymore. Now it was more dry and everything looked like in a western movie. The prairie strated there. Hills without trees and only covered with grass. Ofcause here and there you could discouver some forests but it was not the same.
At the border of Canada we checked in by a friendly border agent. We spent a night in Okanagan Falls.
At the next day we continued travelling. We followed highway 97. At the end of the day we arrived Kelowna.

Hey,

As we finished our stay in Seattle we drove to the Rockys. The highway led us in a nice valley with a beatyful landscape and waterfalls. After the sunset we wanted to cross a mountain ridge. Julex and Benni had fear that we can't pass the ridge without chains. In a big trouble action we bought some chains for the camper. We didn't need the chains to cross the ridge but whatever!
Finaly we arrived Leathenworth at the evening. This village is just unbelievable. Why??? Because everything here is written in german!!! Everything looks like a village in the Alps and has a european style. All houses are decorated with colourful light lines. We walked through the center of the village where was a nice chrismas market (this is very unusually in other american citys). In this village we spent only one night.
I liked the village. Ofcourse it was very touristic. But how cares it was a village with his own style. And it was so funny to see waht the americans think about Germany.

Supplement Vancouver Metalica

Oh man I forgot,

During our time in Vancouver we went to the Gerneral Motor Place. There was a concert of the world famous band Metalica. We tried to buy tickets from some dealers but the price was still to high for us.
Around the arena were a lot of fans who tried to get in without tickets. We walked around the arena and I found an open door. Unbelievable. This door was the acess for us to join this concert. Julex and me went inside and the others had fear. Together we went through the hole backstage rooms. We passed thousands of securitys but nobody asked us to show tickets. Finaly we arrived the floor. Around us were tousands of fans and the band. Just amazing!!!
But unfortunetly after 30 secounds a security asked us to shown our tickets. We told him that we thrown the tickets away but he didn't believe us. Finaly we kicked out from securitys.

Doesn' t matter. This 30 secounds, only this moment was just amazing.

hey,

oh man about a week is gone after the last posting. The time runs so fast!
After we finished our roadtrip on the island we spent some nights in Vancouver. There we tried to get our last paycheck. Ben and Julex was succesful. My Check is still somewhere on travelling to me. I hope recieve them soon. But wahtever the situation of my bank account is ok.
After a short discussion we decided to drive to Seattle. Oh man USA we are comming!!! Yeah. After some hours drive we arrived Seattle at the same day.
Seattle is a nice city with an atractive skyline. The Space Needle Tower is the main attraction of the city. With the elevator we drove to the top too.
Before X-Mas you have a nice flair in the downtown. Everywhere you can listen to the typical american chrismas songs in the streets. All the warehouses are nice decorated. In some of them you can see santa claus with kids who make pictures with him. Exept this you have an old destrict of the town with som old buildings in a british style. One night we spent on hill at a poiny of view. The view of the skyline was just amazing. I think the pics speak in the best way for me...

After 2 days in the city we decided to rode on.

Our next aim is Kelowna back in Canada.

Oh man ich habs jetzt aufgeben das Tag fuer Tag zuversuchen zu aktualisieren. Bin jetzt schon wieder total im Verzug mit den Blog, deswegen versuche ich euch langsam mal wieder up to date zu bringen.

After the first day we drove at the next day to Port Alberni. There we spent only one night. Then we continue travelling.
With the best weather we drove through the Alberni Valley. That's a very beautiful valley with big lakes, huge Mountains, a nice river with salmons inside and a lot of trees. There we saw an eagle and many samlons around the river. The climate here is very wet because of that there developed a continental rainforest in a very long period.
The rainforest here is just amazing there are huge trees more than 1000 years old. More than 100 animals live with tree in one eviroment. You can see salmons and a lot of other animals in the rivers.
The coast of the island is very tough. Big waves smashed against the rocks. It's a landscape where you can't find words for.

In the small villages like Tofino and Ucuelet you can meet a lot of surfers at the beaches. The most famous one is th long beach. And woh this beach is really long. It's the dream of every surfer to get the perfect wave. Benny and Julex tried surfing too. But it's not so easy and very exhausting. The landscape here in Tofino looks like in New Zealand. Everywhere in the village you can find many native art gallerys, surf shops and hotels. Tofino is a great place. There we spent about 4 days.

After this days we drove back to Nanaimo on the same way, because of it's the only way you can drive. In Nanaimo we walked through the city and then we finished travelling on thee island and took the ferry back to Vancouver on the mainland.

At the 24 of november we started our roadtrip from victoria.

After so long time only working the travelling begins now.
At the first day we drove to Nanaimo. At this ride we passed a very small but lovely fishing village called Cowichan Bay. In this village exist only one road. All houses are built on the water on tree trunks. The look of this small village is originally and so dreamy. Thre is a liquor store for the old sea guys and a very interesting maritime museum. In this museum you can see how it works to build boats of wood. You can observe the carpenters by her work and you ca learn a lot of boats in the past.
After this stop we rode through Duncan to Chemainus. There you can see over 40 interesting paintings on the walls of public buildings. There come artists from whole canada to publish her art in this city.

At the evening we arrived in Nanaimo where we spent the night on a parking place of a shopping mall.

Hey,

sorry for the late posting. Here is the next update:

Unfortunately Benni and julex got the job on the construction for another week. That was the reason because we left Victoria one week later as we thought. But how cares.

During this week we spent some time with hard core working. We applyed at a tempoary work agency called Labour unlimited. That means very hard working for less. You are the ass for everything but you earn only 6.66 Euro per hour less tax. To get a job you must line up early. The Agency open at 6 o'clock. That means get up at 5!!!. Then you must line up with homless and poor people. That shows you the real hard life. But hey not everything is beautyful.
The construction side where we worked for 2 hard days for example was a realy ugly place. You must tidy up all the garbage on the side. After that you cleaned the discusting dusty stairs.....
Another job was for the canadian diabethics association. There we brought clothings from one trailer to another one. So we store garbage bags with clothings from donations in another trailer. It was a really tiring job.

So you can imagine that it was really not a nice place for work. But at the end of the day got a paycheck. That means money! There are a lot of poor people here who stand up early every day and hope for a job.

This fan belt is terrible!

Hey guys,

After we finished our wooffing Stay on the Sea Cider Farm we drove to Victoria.

Here we are since last friday untill now. The car is great it runs perfect! No not really. We have a problem with the fan belt. This part makes a crazy sound when we start the engine. Now our 2nd belt is brocken. About 1 km away from our apartment the engine turned off and we couldn't start it again. That sucks. So we walked to a construction side where we slept this week by a friend who works there. At the next day this friend called benni helped us and gave us a boost. So we could start the engine. On the way to next canadian tyre (car repair shop) The engine turned off twice at the red traffic light on the highway and we blocked the street. Finally I could bought a new fan belt because a canadian drove me to the car repair shop. We installed the new part but now it starts to makes crazy sounds again.

Wooffing auf der Seacider Apfelweinfarm

Hey,

Steffi und ich sind auf einer Apfelweinfarm noerdlich von Victoria in Sanichton. Haben uns die Farm ausgesucht, weil wir das mit den wooffen einfach mal ausprobieren wollten.

Die Farm ist total ab vom Schuss. Die Besitzer sind Bruce und Kirsten Jordan. Sie besitzen hier ca 10 ha Land, auf den sie Apfelbaeume gepflanzt haben. Auf den Grundstueck steht ein grosses modernes Farmhaus, welches wirklich luxurioes ist.
Wir nennen es "das Herrenhaus". Dort gibt es einen grossen Raum zum Verkauf und vorkosten der diversen Weine, einen Raum mit ner Apfelpresse und einen mit Zisternen wo der Wein lagert. Und ob du es glaubst oder nicht da gibts auch ne Dusche. Warum ich das sage?
Na weil wir in einem Haus im kalten gelben Keller untergebracht sind wo es keine Dusche gibt. Also heist es jedesmal den ganzen Weg zum Farmhaus laufen um zu duschen. Der Keller ist echt merkwuerdig. Ueber uns wohnt eine merkwuerdige Frau. In dem Haus hoert man echt alles, deswegen heisst es ab 10 Uhr Bettruhe. Gibt noch ne ganze andere Reihe an Kindergartenregeln. Haben dafuer extra einen 3 Seitenordner!! :)))

Die Leute auf der Farm sind voll i.O. Alle sind super nett und die Arbeit macht auch Spass. Ausser uns ist da noch ein Neuseelaender und ein franzose am Start. Ist so ein Famieleinbetrieb wo alles ein wenig langsamer laeuft. Die ersten 2 Tage dort haben wir mit einer Presse zusammengebastelt aus Wagenhebern Aepfel gedrechselt und gepresst. Produkt davon war jede Menge Kompost und leckerer Apfelsaft, der dann weiter zu Wein verarbeitet wird. Die anderen 2 Tage haben wir den Keller und den Dachboden aufgeraeumt. Heute gehen wir noch mal nach Victoria und machen Party.

hey,

sorry das ich mich so lange nicht mehr gemeldet habe, aber in letzter Zeit ist echt viel passiert.
Wir Benni, Julex, Stephi (alle deutsch)und Ich haben uns einen blauen Dodge Campervan von 1980 mit nem V8 gekauft. Wir haben das Auto von 2 deutsch sprachigen Schweizern abgekauft, die mit dem Auto nach Alaska gefahren sind. Daher ist eins sicher das Ding faehrt. Wir waren echt gluecklich das wir den Zuschlag fuer das Auto bekommen haben, weil die echt viele Intressenten hatten. Das Auto hat eine Heizung, Kuehlschrank, Gefrierfach und Wasserbehaelter. Das koplette Auto ist blau.
Hab jetzt meinen Job in Vancouver gekuendigt. Hab aber die Option dort immer wieder anfangen zu koennen. Ausserdem war das eine Schuhkette mit fiallen in jeder Stadt. Mit meinen Referenzschreiben kann ich dort jederzeit wieder anfangen.
Mit dem Auto haben wir uns jetzt auf nach Vancouver Island gemacht. Mit der Faehre sind wir ubergesetzt und haben da unseren ersten Abend zusammen mit Lagerfeuer und so in der Wildnis verbracht. Das Leben zu 4 im Camper ist zwar eng aber trotzdem super geil. Heute morgen ist dann erstemal der Keilriemen gerissen. Mit ein wenig schraubarbeit haben wir den aber selbst gewecheselt. Letztendlich sind wir in Victoria angekommen, wo wir uns dann im Hafen einen Parkplatz gesucht und gekocht haben.

Mal sehen was die naechsten Wochen auf Vancouver Island noch so bringen. Seit gespannt.

After 2 long weeks job hunting in vancouver I found a job as shoe salesman by the company shoewarehouse. The Managers Name is Julien. He is an old man who cames from the East Coast from Canada. He is a very good and nice boss. The work is OK. Every Day you get a daily target. The aim of day is reach this target every day. If you want to sell a lot of shoes you must speak a lot with the customers. Usually the talking starts with smal talk and later you try to sell a pair of shoes. Last Month I was the most sucessful salesman of the shop. I must work each week 5 days. So i work 40 hours per week. The money which you earn is not bad but its not enough for save money for big travelling. The life in Vancouver is very expensive. Thats is one of many reason why want to leave Vancouver in the next 3 weeks. I want to buy me a car. With the car i want to travel to some skiresorts in the rockie mountains. In these resorts i want to look for another job. There i want to stay the whole winter to earn and save enogh money for working.

Hey,

heute stell ich mal mein momentanes "Zuhause" vor. Seit den 19. August bin ich da jetzt schon. Der erste Monate ist schon lange rum und die Zeit verging verdammt schnell. Bin in das C & N Backpackers Hostel gezogen. Dies liegt endlose lange 15 min Gehminuten von Downtown entfernt. 2 Blocks weiter beginnt Chinatown.
Dort ist Vancouvers Ghetto. Viel zu viele Obdachlose die wortwoertlich auf der Strasse leben, sich zusaufen, Drogen konsumieren und ihr Hab und Gut ( meistens ein Schlafsack und ein Sack voller Pfandflaschen) in nem Einkaufswagen herum schieben. Ueberall richts nach Joint! Kiffen ist hier weitest gehend legal! Den ganzen Tag hoert man Krankenwagen die irgendwelche Homless people ins Krankenhaus einliefern. In den Seitengassen gibts sogar Ratten. Ich glaub man kann sich gut vorstellen wie man sich da fuehlt wenn man aus den wohlgehuetteten Deutschland kommt, sowas noch nie gesehen hat, das erste mal alleine unterwegs ist, ohne viel Geld in der Tasche reist und keinen Job hat. Scheisse. Der Obdachlose an der ecke verdient mit betteln immerhin mehr wie ich selber. Und dann wird man ueberall angebettelt und genervt. Deswegen war ich auch sau froh als hier endlich nen Job gefunden hatte. Arm und reich ist hier nur 100m Unterschied.

Das Hostel selbst ist schon sehr alt, hat aber Flair. Die Nacht kostet ca 15 Euro. Das ist echt guenstig. Das Hostel ist aber nicht nur guenstig sondern auch sauber. Nur Kuehlschrank und Kueche sind vielleicht ein wenig ihh. Nach ner Woche hat man sich da aber auch dran gewoehnt. Ansonsten gibts hier alles was man braucht: Kueche, Kuehlschrank, kostenloser Netzzugang, W-lan, TV- Raum Leseecke, Telefon und ne Menge nette und interessante Leute.
Es gibt auch sehr viele Deutsche hier. Ist ein wenig wie auf Malle. Zu Spitzenzeiten waren wir schon 11 Deutsche in einem eher kleinen Hostel. Zusammen mit den eingessenen Vietnamesen Daggi ( schon seit ueber 9 Monaten hier weil er kein Geld hat um sich ein Appartment zu leisten), den Japaner Taka und einen immer mal wechselnden Gast schlafen wir im 4 Bettzimmer. Daggi wohnt schon seit ueber 9 Monaten hier weil er kein Geld hat um sich ein Appartment zu leisten. er hat 2 Jobs. Hauptsaechlich arbeitet er in nem Sushiedelrestaurant. Da bringt er mir manchmal was mit. Ihn sieht man nur selten. Wenn er da ist schaut er sich Videos an oder telefoniert. Hoert sich sehr geil an. Taka lernt hier Englisch um in den USA studieren zu koennen. Er ist hier seit 9 Monaten in den Hostel. Er ist der Typische Japaner, ein Arbeitstier. Ihn sieht man nur Hausaufgaben machen bis spaet in die Nacht. Wochenende gibts bei ihm nicht. Wenn er mal ne Pause macht schaut er sich englische movies an. Warum? Na klar um englisch zulernen. Dann ist momentan noch ein Mexikaner da. Total nett der Typ. Er ist beruflich nur fuer ein paar Wochen hier. Ist aber total cool drauf wenn es um Party geht. Labert ein immer nur ueber Gott und die Welt zu, um sein Englisch zu verbessern. Ist aber interessant mit ihm zuerzaehlen.
