Es geht wieder los: Transcanada wir starten durch!!!

Hey,

der Countdown laeuft: es sind nur nur noch 9 Tage bis es zurueck auf die Straße geht. Die Vorbereitungen laufen schon auf vollen Touren. Letzte Reparatur- und Reinigungsarbeiten am Camper und Reisevorbereitungen werden zur Zeit getroffen. Gestern war ich mal wieder am Camper. Mit nen gewaltigen Knall und jeder Menge Ruß heulte der V8 wieder auf.

Diesmal wirds kein Wochenendtrip, denn es geht ueber den ganzen Kontinent. Ueber 5000 km. Transcanada wir kommen!!! Weil wir waehrend der Reise nur beschraenkt Internet haben werden, will ich euch schon mal informieren was wir machen werden:

Am 31. 3 starten wir von Kelowna aus durch!!! In der kommenden Woche gehts dann durch die National Parks der Rocky Mountains. Dort werden wir noch ne Menge Schnee sehen und die Natur bestaunen koennen.
Von Calgary aus gehts dann weiter auf den Trans Canada Highway 1 durch Alberta, Manitoba, und Sasketchwan nach Thunder Bay. Dabei geht es duch endlose Ebenen, wo ma das Ende der Straße am Horizont verschinden sieht gehts immer nur gerade aus! An den Großen Seen entlang gehts durch den kanadaischen Schild Ontarios bis nach Ottawa. Auf dem Weg dorthin besuchen wir den Georgian Bay und Angloquin National Park. Dort wird mit dem Kajak gepaddelt.
Von Ottawa gehts in die Weltmetropole Toronto und weiter zu den weltberuehmten Niagara Falls.
Von dort aus geht es weiter in die Usa in die Hammerstadt New York. Wenn wir dort nach ueber 5000 km an der Freiheits Statue stehen, wissen wir was Freiheit bedeutet!!! Nach einer Woche New York Sightseeing gehts es zurueck nach Kanada.
Das Ziel ist Montreal und Quebec. Dort werden wir die franzoesische Geschichte Kanadas entdecken bis es nach Nova Scotia weiter geht. Also Coast to Coast versteht sich. Dort werden wir die wilde Kuestenlandschaft der Ostkueste bestaunen.
Zurueck gehts nach Montreal. Von dort aus gehts nach hause. Ne stopp ware ja langweilig. :)

Also heisst es Auto verkaufen und Sachen in den Flieger schmeissen und ab zurueck in die Rockys. Dort werde ich ueber 6 Wochen lang in den Rocky Mountains, eine der wildesten Lanschaften der Welt trekken gehen. Das wird mein Highlight! Wildromantische Bergseen, Einsamkeit und einfach NAtur pur ohne einen Menschen!!! Einfach nur die Freiheit geniessen.

Seit gespannt denn es geht wieder los. Der Fruehling kommt und die Reise geht jetzt erst richtig los! Ich versprech euch das wird unvergesslich!!!

Hey,

The spring is coming! Yeah that's fantastic!!! I was already scared that our trans canada trip would be a trans arcitica. I mean in the big plains it' still very cold but I'm sure that the teperatures start to raise over there in next tow weeks too. At the moment we have got 7 degree at the day. If I go to work in the night i don't feel frozen anymore! :)) We set the clocks already one hour foreward and the days getting longer. So that's the best time to start travelling after a long and very cold winter.

Today we used the raising temperatures to do an amazing bike trip. That was just awesome!!! Julex broght a bike for just 25 Dollars. after some repair work it works perfect. I lent me the bike of my boss Arnaud.
Together we climbed by bike to the top of Knox Mountain. That was already a tough ride to the top and as we arrived the top the sweat run over the skin. Up on the top you have a great view to the city, the mountains around you and on the lake Okanagon.
After we enjoyed the view we rode the mountain down back in the city. A nice downhill ride! We stopped at a basketball court where we toook some shots. I love this game. Then we continued our bike trip at the waterfront in Kelowna. Hungry we arrived an ice cream shop. Flavour Death by chocolate that doesn't sound just sympathic that' s a dream.
We rode along the Pandosy road with some nice homes and crossed a lot of parks along the beach.
Then we took the way back to our appartment where we arrived hungry. After a slice of pizza the world seems to perfect at the end of the day.

Hey,

it's long time ago that I wrote something for my friends back at home. A big sorry because of that!!!

A lot of things happend in this time. We had a long and cold winter where nothing really happened. At least so it seems to be. But if i think back now there were so many thnigs happened around the job life. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the most of the time. So let's make it happened.

Some weeks ago we went to the myra canyon national historic site. Thats a canyon where a railway was built a lot of years ago. In this cayon you have oder 12 trestle bridges. These are interesting buildings built just of wood! Unfortunetly these bridges were destroyed by a big fire. But now they are restored. It was an interesting trip over 12 km walking in the deep snow. That was a hard walk. But the view was fantastic. As we arrived back in the appartment ech of us was so hungry. :) Enjoy the pics!
